Eglise, espace public et démocratie : quels tournants ?

abstract

In the public sphere and especially in the media, the discourse on the Church and of the Church on faith and religion is often tainted by the confusion of meaning due, among other things, to the mutual borrowing little rigorous – epistemologically and methodologically – of the concepts which engage various disciplines (theology, sociology, anthropology, political science, information and communication science, and so on) who take possession of problematic centered on the report of the mankind to divinity. This article presents some basic benchmarks for analyzing and understanding the construction of meaning as well as the rationality or irrationality of these issues by convening the disciplinary distinction between the content of the concepts of organization and institution.

Dans l’espace public et notamment dans les médias, le discours sur l’église et de l’Eglise portant sur la foi et la religion est la plupart du temps entaché des confusions de sens dues, entre autres, à l’emprunt mutuel peu rigoureux – épistémologiquement et méthodologiquement – des concepts auquel se livrent les différentes disciplines (théologie, sociologie, anthropologie, sciences politiques, sciences de l’information et de la communication, etc.) qui s’emparent des problématiques centrées sur le rapport de l’homme à la divinité. Cet article pose quelques repères fondamentaux permettant d’analyser et de comprendre la construction de sens ainsi que le caractère rationnel ou irrationnel de ces problématiques en convoquant la distinction transdisciplinaire entre le contenu du concept d’organisation et celui d’institution.
